Language as the Doorway to Relationship
This program will give you a strong academic foundation in theory and practice. It produces effective classroom instructors, as well as those who can develop curriculum and materials. The 32 credit-hour TESOL Certificate is the heart of the Providence TESOL programs. The certificate can be completed in one year of full-time study during the regular school year. The TESOL Certificate program can be incorporated into any Bachelors degree Major. The core TESOL courses (15 credit hours) can be taken during the one-month Summer TESOL Institute. The Certificate can be completed in the summer if students bring sufficient credit transfer. Students can take a Major or a Minor in TESOL. Both the Major and Minor incorporate the TESOL certificate. The TESOL Minor can be taken alongside any other Major. The Major includes a practicum experience of teaching in a cross-cultural setting for a minimum of 60 hours of teaching. Please see the College Calendar for further information. Click here to learn more about the T.E.S.O.L. Program. The Providence TESOL Certificate Program is fully accredited by TESL Canada. ![]()
