Providence College is very proud to announce its new partnership with William and Catherine Booth College (Winnipeg). Beginning in the fall of 2008, students can register for a unique educational experience leading to Bachelor of Social Work degree.*

Two schools, one degree: This program of study allows students to enjoy the benefits of two campuses during one program of study. Students spend the first two years of the program at Providence College, and the third and fourth years at Booth College in Winnipeg. They also take one distance education course through Booth College during the summer following their first year of study at Providence.

How do I Get Started?

Students begin the program at Providence College, taking wide range of preparatory courses during their first two years. After completing 4.110 Introduction to Social Work Practice (distance education, through Booth College) at the end of the first year of studies at Providence College, students formally apply to the Booth College Bachelor of Social Work Program. Students spend their third and fourth years at Booth College, taking courses concentrating on Social Work theory and getting hands on experience through supervised practicum opportunities.
