Courses taken at Providence can be transferred and used to attain a Certified General Accountant (CGA) designation, a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation, a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation, or an MBA at Asper School of Business. AccountingOur graduates can move directly from the Providence Business Degree into the CGA program, receiving credit for the work they have completed on par with other business degrees. Several Business Administration courses are transferable as prerequisites to the CMA Entrance Examination, and your degree will cover most of the prerequisites for the CMA Accelerated Learning Program. Four of your Providence courses can be used to fulfill prerequisites, with nine courses to choose from. Students who take the 4-year Business Honours degree may be able to take all of the CASB prerequisite courses. Click here to visit the CASB website. PayrollTwo of Providence's courses may be transferable to the PCP program at Canadian Payroll Association (CPA). The PCP program requires students to take a number of courses at post-secondary institutions. Most of these courses are available at Providence. Click here to visit CPA's website. Farm ManagementSelect Providence courses are eligible for the Management Training Credit through Manitoba Agriculture Services Corporation (MASC). They are viewable through the online course calendar. If you are a young farmer with a MASC loan of over $50,000, you may be eligible for the Management Training Credit. By taking farm management education, you can earn 1% credit on the principle of that loan to a maximum of $2,500 annually. Approved farm management courses for this program are available through the Manitoba Agriculture, Food & Rural Initiatives (MAFRI) website in the Management Training Courses catalogue, noted above.
