1st Annual Motorcycle Ride for Providence
Saturday August 21, 2010

Get your motor runnin', head out on the highway! Looking for adventure--and for a great time for a great cause!

Calling all riders to join the 1st Annual Ride for Providence and participate in a relaxing ride through beautiful Manitoba, ending in a complimentary fantastic steak dinner at the Providence College and Seminary 100-acre campus in Otterburne, MB.

  • Northern Harbour Sail Boat Cruise on Lake of the Woods (2 days if used on a weekend – 3 days during the week)

Prize Details: More prizes to be announced soon! Prizes are awarded to the highest pledge earners (sorry, no teams). Top pledge earner gets first choice of prizes.

DRAWS

Draw Details: Chance to win amazing prizes like one night's accommodation at a variety of hotels, such as Super 8 Motel (Fort Frances), Travelodge (Kenora), and the Days Inn (Portage la Prairie). Participants will get one entry for registering, and one additional entry for every $50.00 in pledges.

Silent Auction: Invest in the select prize you wish to win. Variety of prizes to be announced soon. 20 tickets for only $10.00

ROUTE MAPS

  • Brandon, MB: Take the Trans Canada to the Shell Service Station on the east side of Portage la Prairie.
  • Portage la Prairie, MB: Leaving from the Shell Service Station on the east side of Portage at 11:00 a.m. Taking the Trans Canada Hwy to Hwy 13 to Carman, MB.
  • St - Pierre-Jolys, MB: Leaving from the Shell Service Station at 10:00 a.m. Take Hwy 59 to Hwy 305 to Hwy 75 to the Trans Canada. Take the Trans Canada to the Humpty’s Family Restaurant, McGillivray Blvd. & meet up with the Winnipeg Riders. Take Hwy 3 to Carman, MB.
  • Steinbach, MB: Leaving from Tim Horton’s (beside Safeway) at 9:30 a.m. Take Hwy 52 to Hwy 59 to Hwy 305 to Hwy 75 to the Trans Canada. Take the Trans Canada west to the Humpty’s Family Restaurant, McGillivray Blvd. & meet up with the Winnipeg Riders. Take Hwy 3 to Carman, MB.
  • Winkler, MB: Leave from the (site yet to be determined) at 11:00 a.m. Take Hwy to Carman, MB.
  • Winnipeg, MB: Leave the Humpty’s Family Restaurant, McGillivray Blvd. at 11:00 a.m. (the St-Pierre-Jolys & the Steinbach riders will met up with you there). Take Hwy 3 to Carman, MB.

If you wish to have a longer or shorter ride please feel free to begin your ride in one of the other start locations. Check back here for links to official route maps.

LUNCH, SUPPER, and ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Lunch and Relax in Carman, MB at the Carman Active Living Centre at 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. Lunch is at the cost of the rider and will be less than $10.00.
  • Riders will leave Carman, MB at 2:00 pm to go to Providence College & Seminary
  • Steak Dinner will be served at Providence College and Seminary
  • All participants will need to sign a riders waiver if they wish to ride.
  • Money raised during this event will go toward bursaries for students attending Province College and Seminary from your Province or an International Student -YOUR CHOICE.
