**Applications for the Providence Partnership Plan must be submitted by May 1 for September admission or by September 1 for January admission. Applications will not be considered until they are complete (including sponsor’s details).
What does the student need to do?
- The student will submit a letter explaining their financial need and their future plans upon graduation from Providence. This must be submitted in addition to the regular application materials.
- The student must maintain an acceptable academic level (minimum of 2.5 GPA) at the completion of each semester.
- During his/her studies, the student will be required to work part-time for Providence (full-time during summer vacations).
What will Providence do?
- Providence will provide a full tuition bursary for regular academic courses (does not include the Intensive English Program, Aviation, Doctor of Ministry or the summer TESOL program)
- Providence will provide employment during the academic year and during the summer vacation(s). This will cover some of the additional expenses but not all.
- The Providence Partnership Plan is applicable to only one degree program and preference will be given to graduate level studies (i.e. Providence Theological Seminary). There is a maximum of four students who can be enrolled in the Providence Partnership Plan at any given time.
What does the sponsoring church or agency need to do?
- The sponsoring church or agency will write a letter of recommendation for the student and provide a statement regarding their financial support.
- A deposit of $10,000 must be made by the sponsoring church or agency onto the student’s school account to demonstrate the sponsor’s earnestness.
- Students or their sponsoring organization will provide airfare to and from originating country, room and board costs, books, health insurance, library and student fees, and all living expenses.
- If the student is married and/or has dependent children, all additional expenses must be borne by the student or sponsoring agency.
