We supply notebooks and desktop systems, monitors, printers, scanners, Flash drives, DVD-RWs, video cards, sound cards, motherboards, hard drives, USB hubs, memory and almost anything else. Most major manufacturers are available including Epson, Hewlett-Packard, D-Link, Seagate, Maxtor, Western Digital, LG, Viewsonic, Samsung, Panasonic, Acer, and many others.
Check with us for the latest in configurable (customize your own) desktop or tower systems by A-Open which come with standard 3 year warranty and the ability to get much of the warranty hardware replacement done here. Notebooks from Acer, LG, Toshiba, or Asus are availalable. Payment for systems are made by certified cheque or debit card at time of order.
Purchase Plans for payments over up to two years for students and faculty are available through the bookstore(certain conditions apply).

Service and Upgrades
Warranty
Each manufacturer has their own warranty structure. Our Aopen or Touch desktop computers come with a 3 year system warranty. We are authorized to do basic warranty service through the store, enabling us to swap out most defective parts without sending the machine to their depot. ALC Micro (Aopen) and Supercom (Touch) are vendor partners of Campus Retail Canada, a university campus store association, and provide special pricing for us. Ask Bruce to configure a desktop or notebook for you.
Notebooks usually come with 1 year warranty. The second and third year of warranty need to be purchased if using the time purchase plan. This is usually well worth it as replacement parts can be expensive. Acer is our main brand for value but we also supply LG, Toshiba, Touch and TTX notebooks. Warranty service is at manufacturer depots.

Warranty Service and Labour Rates
Warranty service is usually provided by the manufacturers. The Computer Corner handles post warranty service and upgrades through qualified staff in the bookstore.
The labour charges are currently set at $39.99 per hour, with a minimum of $17.50. We can give you an estimate of time needed before taking on a repair or upgrade. If time or expertise is not available, referrals are made to local shops. We will provide advice and help as able when warranty problems occur. Aopen and Touch warranty for component failures can often be handled right here.
We carry a good variety of word processing, office software, design, graphics and virus protection packages. Educational pricing is available at substantial savings to students. We can order almost any of the major software available.
We also supply major Bible software lines, including Quickverse, and Logos. Please contact Providence Bookstore for pricing or for ordering specific software.
