Pennies for Providence Weigh-In
Make Your Pennies Count!
The Canadian Government will soon be phasing out the humble penny - why not phase out them out of your penny jars, pockets, junk drawers, cars and couch cushions by donating them towards scholarships for Providence University College and Seminary? Not only will you have an excuse to do a little spring cleaning and lose a few pounds of loose change, you might also win fabulous prizes if your penny poundage is the heftiest! Get together with your friends, your family, your co-workers or your entire community and see if you and your crew can out-weigh them all!
Your opportunities to weigh-in your coins are as follows:
- Wednesday, May 2, 9 am - 4pm at Providence University College and Seminary
- Saturday, May 5, 9 am - 12 pm at Bigway in St. Pierre-Joly
- Saturday, May 12, 9 am - 1 pm at Canadian Tire in Steinbach
- Saturday, May 26, 9 am - 12 pm at Bigway in Niverville

Online Journals Available Free for Providence Alumni
Providence University College & Seminary Library is pleased to announce that once again the library has received a grant from the American Theological Library Association (ATLA) with support from Lilly Endowment Inc. The grant offered the service to seminary alumni and a mere $300 extra paid by Providence allows access to college alumni as well. The grant gives all college and seminary alumni access to ATLASerials® (ATLAS®), a full-text online collection of more than seventy major religion and theology journals selected by leading religion scholars and theologians. Access to the database will be available through April 2011. To access this service, alumni should email Terry Kennedy, Library Director.
